Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been given a new nickname ahead of their UK return. The couple, who have resided in California since 2020, are set to return to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, within days.
The couple are reportedly set to have found a new home in the Cotswolds, which has led to an unlikely friendship with Geri and Christian Horner. Archie and Lilibet, now aged seven and five, are also enrolled in British schools so that they can start next month.
New Nickname Suggests Future Plans
With their exact date of return unknown, they have been given a new nickname which could give an insight into their future. A source told the Sunday Times in an article published yesterday that the best scenario for Harry and Meghan is to be "private royals-plus".
They said: "It needs all sides to agree a template for ‘private royals plus.’ It needs them to be much more ‘private’ than ‘working,’ and be seen at family occasions, like Christmas at Sandringham."
Royal Approval Needed
It has also been said that in order for this to happen, the opinions of two major royals may be needed. They added: "That requires William and Catherine to say ‘yes please’ and how on earth does that happen? Just saying it out loud sounds implausible."
Return May Not Be Permanent
Sources have noted that the couple's return to the UK may not be permanent. "It’ll be an extended period of time — it could be six months, it could be a year, it could be more — I don’t think even they know yet," one source said, adding, "they might suddenly go: ‘Why don’t we try Canada for a while? Why don’t we try Australia?’"
