Granite Harbour, the BBC detective drama that fans have compared to Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise, returns for its third season tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
Cast and Plot
Reprising their roles are Dawn Steele as DCI Cora Macmillan, Romario Simpson as DC Davis Lindo, and Hannah Donaldson as DS Lara 'Bart' Bartlett. New cast members include Alastair Mackenzie, John Gordon Sinclair, Ellie Haddington, and Ryan Fletcher.
The first episode synopsis reads: "A missing persons case turns into a double murder investigation and age-old tensions between the traveller and traditional Aberdonian communities threaten to explode. Davis and the team call on the help of an experienced liaison officer to find a way into the travelling community as understanding it quickly is pivotal to finding the truth."

New Series Storyline
The new series follows the disappearance of teenage café worker Lisa Sterling after a birthday celebration for Rose Gough, matriarch of the local traveller community. Her body is found at the bottom of a ravine, and what appears to be a tragic accident is quickly confirmed as murder. DCI MacMillan and her team face increased pressure as Chief Constable Alan Willis orders an investigation by the Special Police Investigations Service (SPIS) following their previous high-profile case. A shocking discovery forces the team to question everything they thought they knew about Lisa's murder.
