Next week on Coronation Street, a mysterious woman named Celeste (Frances Barber) turns up at Bernie Winter's door, but she won't be sticking around for long.
Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) finds Celeste knocking on Bernie's door and tells her that Bernie and Dev Alahan are away. As Celeste heads off, she spots Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) closing up the undertakers and asks to arrange a funeral with him over a drink.
Celeste's secret plan
The next day, Celeste's driver, Fraser, drops her at Shuttleworth's to discuss the funeral arrangements. Glenda is instantly drawn to the stranger and invites him for a drink.
Meanwhile, Celeste tells Todd that she's planning her own funeral, as she only has six weeks to live. Together, they organise a Dolly Parton themed service before Celeste heads off to meet Fraser.
As Fraser and Celeste depart, Glenda is thrilled when he gives her his number and agrees to a date the following day.
Todd's revenge plan
However, things take an upsetting turn for Glenda after a night out on Canal Street with Todd. As his loved ones worry about how much he's been drinking since returning from his Thailand trip, Glenda warns him to stop treating his friends like dirt, or he's sure to lose them.
Todd doesn't take this well, and when Celeste later reveals to him that Fraser is gay, he is struck with a plan to get his own back on Glenda.
Will things play out the way he hopes, and how will Glenda react?
