Caleb Miligan (William Ash) is set to take a major step in his vendetta against Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) in tonight's Emmerdale, as he agrees to help Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) and Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) execute a plan to destroy Joe's life.
Caleb's Grudge Against Joe
Caleb has never forgiven Joe for stealing his kidney, and his anger has only intensified after learning that Joe has discovered his latest dodgy business dealings. When the perfect opportunity to ruin Joe's life arises, Caleb jumps at it.
Billy was recently hospitalised after a brutal attack, and Caleb convinced him that Joe was behind it, citing Joe's motive after learning about the kiss between Billy and Dawn.
The Plan to Flee
In tonight's episode, the true attacker is revealed, but Joe remains in the crosshairs. Billy admits to the police that he can't remember who attacked him, meaning Joe won't face legal consequences for the assault. Billy and Dawn then reveal their plan to lull Joe into a false sense of security before destroying his life, with Caleb's help.
While Joe's guard is down, they intend to take the kids and run, starting a new life under new names. Caleb explains the plan to Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly), who also sees the benefit of helping them obtain new identities, contacts, and cash for the escape.
What's at Stake
The question remains: will Dawn's plan to leave Joe and run away with Billy work out? Is Joe set to lose everything he loves?
