Sydnie Christmas, a former Britain's Got Talent contestant, has described Prince Harry as "the most loveliest soul" after an emotional encounter at a charity gala in Canada.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended David Foster's fundraising gala on Friday, which supports The David Foster Foundation. The foundation provides financial assistance for non-medical expenses to Canadian families with ill children.
Emotional Performance
During the event, Christmas performed "Tomorrow" from the film Annie and Frank Sinatra's "My Way". After her performance, Harry spoke with her and revealed he was deeply moved by her singing.
The 31-year-old singer later told The Sun: "He (Harry) went, 'Sydnie, I felt every word. I really felt that in the back of my throat'. He just went in for the hug, and I was like, 'Why not?'."

Christmas shared a photograph of herself with the duke on social media, writing: "An absolute pinch me moment. Harry you are the most loveliest soul."
Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, are reportedly close friends with David Foster and his wife Katharine McPhee. McPhee previously described the relationship between her husband and Harry as "like father and son", telling Access Hollywood in 2020: "My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry. They're so cute. They're like father and son."
The couple appeared delighted at the event, posing on the red carpet and enjoying the performances. They also met bagpipers, with Meghan saying: "My husband loves bagpipes." Harry joked: "Where's mine?" and mentioned he could play the "pipes and drums".
