BBC viewers are convinced one Celebrity Traitors star is "a goner" after spotting a huge blunder in the latest episode of the gameshow. Host Claudia Winkleman welcomed 21 new celebrities into the ultimate game of deception last week, and three have already been booted out of the castle.
Three contestants already eliminated
The first victim was journalist Amol Rajan, who was murdered by Traitors Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant. But Richard's own future on the show was cut short in the very first roundtable vote of the series. He was banished following an almost unanimous vote, and his exit was somewhat self-inflicted. As viewers will remember, the veteran actor made a huge blunder when he revealed to a room full of Faithfuls that he was indeed a Traitor, shortly after being selected.
His co-stars couldn't figure out if the admission was an honest mistake or part of a larger game plan, but they couldn't ignore it when it came time to banish someone. Just hours later, American actress Myha'la was banished after the other players became suspicious of her friendship with Richard.
Traitors recruit Hannah Fry
Having lost a fellow Traitor, Maya and comedian James Acaster were forced to recruit someone new - and fans think they chose wrong. The duo picked Professor Hannah Fry to join the dark side because "she's a professor". The mathematician agreed to join the villains, but viewers at home think her promotion has sealed her fate.
Fans believe Hannah was the most obvious recruit for the Traitors since she is one of their biggest threats, meaning the other Faithfuls will be keeping their eyes on her. They have also pointed out that the players will only become more suspicious of Hannah when she continues to dodge murders, considering the Traitors would want her out of the game if she were a Faithful.
Fans react on X
Taking to X, one user said: "Recruiting Hannah was such an obvious mistake; she's never going to be able to explain her continued state of not having been murdered. Had they recruited anyone else she would still be under suspicion for, you guessed it, not being murdered. #CelebrityTraitors"
Someone else agreed, posting: "#celebritytraitors Hannah was probably the worst one to recruit as there was already heat on her. Should have recruited someone more in the background or one of the actors - Hannah looked suspicious at breakfast & will be out very soon. Traitors not tactical."
Another viewer added: "I think they made a mistake recruiting Hannah! #CelebrityTraitors," with a fourth predicting: "justice for hannah shes 10000% a goner #celebritytraitors."
But others think Maya and James made the right move, with one fan commenting: "nope. she was one of their biggest threats, and now she's a threat to the other faithfuls." The Celebrity Traitors season 2 is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
