Traitors fans predict Joanne McNally exit after slip-up

Celebrity Traitors fans believe they have worked out which star could be next to leave the Scottish castle after a major slip-up by Joanne McNally.

During Thursday's (October 15) episode, the group was tasked with unmasking another Traitor after successfully ousting Richard E. Grant at the first Round Table. While most suspicion fell on Hannah Fry, other members were also under scrutiny, including former EastEnders actor Ross Kemp.

Ross Kemp under fire

Some of the group suspect Ross could be one of the Traitors after he was among the four individuals selected to take part in a deadly game of hide and seek alongside Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. In an attempt to defend his actions and assert his innocence as a Faithful, he told the group he wasn't recruited and wasn't a Traitor.

He added: "I don't think there was a Traitor there last night. I looked at everybody when we got out of those cars. I thought I was going home. That was, honestly, an awful experience." Comedian Joanne McNally remarked: "It was horrible, it was - I wasn't there, but I heard it was. I was watching from my cloak with my lantern."

Joanne's slip-up

Despite her attempt to laugh off the slip-up, the other celebrities picked up on what she said and cast suspicious glances her way. This follows Richard E Grant, who was a Traitor, outing himself as one only hours into the show, leading to him being the first to be banished following his mistake.

While Joanne wasn't present when Ross, Romesh, Rob and Leigh-Anne faced their destiny, which resulted in Rob's demise, viewers are convinced the focus will now turn to Joanne, who could find herself exiled at the next Round Table.

Fan reactions

On X, one viewer remarked: "Joanne randomly slipping up that she's a traitor, but she's not at all." Another posted: "I do fear Joanne is absolutely f*****d at the next round table though, especially after throwing out a random vote for Bash when almost everyone else had gone for Hannah, even the actual traitors. It's not looking good for her #celebritytraitors".

Another chimed in: "Joanne throwing herself under the bus when she's not even a traitor." One person commented: "Joanne voting for someone nobody is voting for, like Hannah's theory, she is the most traitor faithful ever." Someone else said: "Can't believe Joanne got away with the slip-up." While another person wrote: "Joanne, she wasn’t even on anyone’s radar, but now she’s in trouble."

Hannah Fry's exit

Ultimately, Joanne managed to evade banishment during Thursday's episode, as it was Hannah Fry who exited the castle after confessing she was a Traitor to the group. This led to Maya Jama and James Acaster recruiting 29-year-old content creator King Kenny to join them in continuing the game as a Traitor.

After her departure from the castle, Hannah disclosed that she had formed a close bond with Joanne, who turned out to be a relative. She revealed: "I really like Joanne. We actually discovered that we're cousins, by marriage. So her cousin is married to my cousin. We're basically sisters. I really loved her so much.

"She described herself as how she came out of the womb as a show pony. That's the perfect description of that woman. She is phenomenal. She knows exactly who she is, and she is totally unapologetic about it. I cannot tell you how much I admire her. She's phenomenal." Celebrity Traitors continues Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One from 8pm.
