Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has predicted that Shaun Wright-Phillips will be the next celebrity to leave the BBC show, following the eliminations of Chris Appleton and Melanie Walters.
Speaking to WhichBingo via Reach Plc, Jordan said: "It's got to be Shaun, Shaun will be one. And the other one will be... oh, it's really hard." He added: "I'm going to say, Sarah and Julian. Don't know why, but ultimately Shaun will be packing his bags, unless he gets a Charleston or something like that and pulls out a fantastic performance, but I just can't see it."
Icons Week looms for remaining couples
On Saturday night, the remaining couples will take part in Icons Week, transforming into the likes of David Bowie, Adele and Elton John in a bid to impress the judges. The public vote will decide who ends up in the dance-off, marking the end of the road for one contestant.
Shaun previously found himself in the dance-off during week three of the contest, having to repeat his Quickstep alongside his partner Alexis Warr.
Emotional reaction after dance-off
Reflecting on what unfolded after they returned to the dance floor, Alexis revealed that Shaun became emotional during an appearance on It Takes Two. She told BBC's Ellie Taylor: "After he did it, he got emotional. We went backstage, and he started getting all teared up."
Describing his feelings on the matter, Shaun responded: "I performed it; she [Alexis] was over the moon about it, so that made me even happier. It honestly felt like I was climbing Mount Everest or something."
Upcoming routine
This coming weekend, the pair will tackle their couple's choice routine to a James Brown medley, having assured the BBC presenter that preparations were going "very well".
He continued: "She's trying a different tactic this week in terms of learning everything at once. Instead of trying to do it like a puzzle, I'm doing it all in one, so teaching the arms and legs together, I start to get more coordination into it."
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturdays on BBC One from 6:15pm.
