Strictly Come Dancing viewers spotted an awkward moment between presenters Josh Widdicombe and Emma Willis during Saturday's show (October 10), after Lacey Turner's Samba performance.
The remaining contestants performed for judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, with Lacey Turner and Vito Coppola opening the show. After their Samba, they received feedback and Emma began to comment: "You're always so like, 'Oh, I don't know'. But it's done now-"
Josh cut over Emma, adding: "Just so you know that's (the judges' feedback) really good, get upstairs, get away from them." Some audience members began clapping, but Emma continued: "You came out here first and it's all out the way and you can relax."
Viewers react on X
Vito asked whether they were going upstairs to speak to Johannes, and they agreed. However, viewers took to X to share their thoughts on the awkward moment, with many calling for the presenters to rotate positions.
One person said: "Josh telling them to go upstairs before Emma was finished speaking to them... oh lord." Another added: "Emma just talked all over Josh when he said to Vito and Lacey to go upstairs. Felt awkward #strictly #scd"
Someone else remarked: "Josh isn't working downstairs at all #Strictly" While a third said: "Josh still looking like a spare part. Get him upstairs please! #Strictly"
Mixed reactions to Josh
However, some viewers are enjoying Josh on the programme. One person said: "Emma Willis is fab..so natural with the contestants..loving her on #strictly. Johannes and Josh definitely more settled as well." Another added: "Time for the terrific @bbcstrictly@EmmaWillis, Josh Widdicombe & @jojo_radebe host the absolutely charming delight."
Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse gave Lacey and Vito a six for their Samba, with Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke giving them a seven. This meant the actress's total score for her week three routine was 26, down two from her Movie Week routine. Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6:15pm.
