Love Island All Stars has returned to ITV2, bringing with it a familiar face hoping for a second shot at romance. Shaq Muhammad, who first found fame in the 2023 winter series, is back in the villa and openly searching for his future wife.
From Villa Romance to Real-World Split
During his original stint on the show, Shaq's connection with fellow contestant Tanya Manhenga was a central storyline. The pair, who finished in fourth place, seemed to have a strong bond. Tanya, a 25-year-old biomedical science student, model, and influencer from Liverpool, was known for her confident personality and for living with vitiligo.
However, by 2024, their relationship had come to an end. The split followed a lads' holiday to Miami, where Shaq later admitted he had been 'disrespectful' to Tanya. He was quick to clarify that nothing "sexual" occurred on the trip, but the damage was done, leading the couple to part ways.
Amicable Terms and Moving On
Speaking about their breakup, Shaq has emphasised that there is no bad blood between them. "Me and Tanya are on good terms, very amicable," he stated. He believes his ex would want the best for him as he enters the All Stars villa, adding, "I want the best for her as well."
In a chat with OK! magazine, Shaq explained that while he would never completely rule out a reconciliation, he is firmly focused on the future. "Tanya and I have been broken up for well over a year now and we've moved past each other," he said, confirming he is "open to meeting other people."
A New Chapter in the Villa
Shaq's return to television comes despite reports that his mother was "not happy" with his decision. His goal, however, is clear: to find a lasting connection. Having reflected on his past actions and the end of his relationship with Tanya, the All Stars contestant is now looking ahead, hoping his journey this time will lead him to find his lifelong partner.
