Tom Allen joked there had been a "terrible oversight" during Friday's episode of The One Show, after pointing out the number of comedians in this year's Celebrity Traitors line-up.
Presenters Clara Amfo and JB Gill hosted the programme before Claudia Winkleman returned for the second episode of Celebrity Traitors season two. Guests included series one star Celia Imrie, comedian Tom Allen and actor Lenny Rush.
Tom Allen on the comedian-heavy cast
While Celia Imrie had little to say about this year's contestants, Tom Allen was quick to react when asked for his thoughts. He pointed out the number of comedians in the line-up, including James Acaster, Romesh Ranganathan and Joe Lycett.
Riled up by the casting, he joked: "There's a lot of comedians booked this year and I've not been booked. So no I didn't watch, because I know all of them and can just phone them up. I don't need to watch them on a programme very much."
Clara laughed that it was a "terrible oversight", and Tom concurred: "Yes, that's what I'm here to talk about."
Episode two twists and the first round table
Fans were thrilled to see Celebrity Traitors return for episode two, which marked another important turning point in the show. Claudia sneakily picked actor Richard E Grant and Love Island icon Maya Jama to be this year's Traitors, but it didn't take long before the Saltburn star raised suspicions as he accidentally admitted his new secret role. The pair had to remain calm as Claudia gave them the chance to recruit another, and they chose comedian James Acaster.
In this evening's episode, after Jerry Hall called out "haggis" in the coffin challenge, she and Professor Hannah Fry are now the only two stars up for murder. Before their fates could be sealed, everyone gathered for the first round table of the series, where Richard quickly came under fire.
Fans will have to wait until next Thursday, October 8, to find out what happens next. The Celebrity Traitors continues every Thursday and Friday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
