Fans of the hit reality show Love Island: All Stars have issued a direct plea to ITV producers, demanding answers after noticing a worrying trend of contestants seemingly 'vanishing' from the screen without explanation.
Where Did Scott and Leanne Go?
The show, which returned to ITV2 last week, has seen its all-star singletons coupling up in the South African villa. However, eagle-eyed viewers quickly spotted that one couple, Scott van-der-Sluis and Leanne Amaning, who paired up in the first major re-coupling, were conspicuously absent from Monday night's hour-long episode.
Taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, fans expressed their confusion and frustration. One viewer wrote: 'About to put Scott and Leanne on a milk carton because they're missing.' Another demanded: 'CAN PRODUCERS ACTUALLY SHOW US SCOTT AND LEANNE?' The sentiment was echoed across the platform, with others asking 'Where are Scott and Leanne?' and bluntly stating: 'Show us Leanne and Scott now!'
Narrator Iain Stirling Also 'Missing'
The missing couple are not the only cause for concern. Fans also noted that the show's iconic narrator, Iain Stirling, was largely silent during Sunday's episode, which featured a re-coupling. The 37-year-old comedian, who has provided the show's witty voiceover since 2015, offered only sparse commentary.
On Reddit, viewers discussed his notable absence. One user posted: 'Where’s Iain Stirling? I just noticed he’s wasn’t doing the voiceover,' while another joked about the possible reason, writing: 'There's nothing to say LMFAO.' A third simply asked: 'Omg where IS Iain?'
Bombshell Rumours and 'Unfinished Business'
The fan uproar comes amidst swirling rumours that former Islander Curtis Pritchard is set to enter the villa as a bombshell. A source told the Daily Mail that Curtis, who split from fellow Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu just six months ago, is already in South Africa 'waiting in the wings.' This would mark his fourth appearance within the Love Island franchise.
Iain Stirling himself addressed the speculation on Good Morning Britain, saying: 'I would love him to come back on. I think he’s absolutely incredible value... He’s a wonderfully upbeat, calm individual.'
ITV bosses have indicated this All Stars series will focus on the theme of 'unfinished business,' leading to speculation about whether Ekin-Su might also return for a confrontation. However, she has previously vowed to step back from reality TV.
The show's launch was delayed due to dangerous wildfires in South Africa, a setback that reportedly cost ITV over £15,000 an hour due to pre-committed resources. Love Island: All Stars continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
