Love Is Blind UK's Kal Breaks Silence on 'Devastating' Split

Kal Sarover, one of the most memorable grooms from the inaugural season of Love Is Blind UK, has spoken out for the first time since his off-screen split from ex-fiancée Danica, describing the experience as 'absolutely devastating'.

In an exclusive and emotional interview, the 29-year-old senior project manager pulled back the curtain on the relationship's collapse after the cameras stopped rolling, confirming the pair called it quits just two months after their dramatic 'I do's' at the altar.

The Aftermath of the Altar

'It was a very difficult time,' Kal confessed, his usual upbeat demeanour fading. 'We gave it a real go on the outside, but ultimately, we realised we wanted different things from life and a partner.'

The couple, who formed a deep emotional connection in the pods despite a rocky journey, faced immense public scrutiny after the show aired. Kal admits the transition from the experiment's bubble to the real world was far tougher than anyone anticipated.

A Public vs. Private Heartbreak

'Watching it back was surreal and, at times, painful,' he shared. 'You're reliving the highest highs of falling in love while also dealing with the reality that it's over. The public only sees a fraction of the story.'

Despite the heartbreak, Kal refuses to harbour any bitterness. He speaks of Danica with respect and affection, stating there is 'no bad blood' between them. 'We shared something incredibly intense and real. I'll always cherish that connection and wish her nothing but the best.'

Looking to the Future

Now single and focusing on himself, Kal says the experience hasn't put him off finding love. If anything, it proved the pod process works for forming genuine bonds.

'I went on there to find a wife, and that's still my goal,' he stated emphatically. 'I'm a hopeless romantic. This hasn't broken me; it's taught me more about what I need and deserve.'

When asked if he'd offer advice to the new singles entering the pods for season two, Kal laughed. 'Just breathe. And remember, what you see in here is just the very beginning.'
