Rebekah Vardy Vows to 'Never Apologise' to Coleen Rooney Over Wagatha Drama
Rebekah Vardy: 'Never Apologise' to Coleen Rooney

Rebekah Vardy has insisted she will never apologise to Coleen Rooney after her Instagram account was accused of leaking stories about her fellow WAG to the media. In October 2019, Coleen, the wife of Wayne Rooney, revealed on social media that posts from her private Instagram account had been leaked to the press. Following a sting operation, Coleen discovered that the only account that could see the posts was Rebekah's account, with the Liverpudlian later being branded 'Wagatha Christie'. Vardy has strongly denied the claims that she was responsible for the posts being leaked.

In July 2022, a judge ruled that Coleen's claims were 'substantially true' and branded Vardy an 'untrustworthy witness'. This decision left Rebekah disappointed, but she stated she wouldn't appeal the case. Now, Rebekah, who is set to open the doors to her family home for a new ITV show, has spoken about the drama. 'I'm never going to apologise for something I didn't do,' she said. Speaking to The Sun, Rebekah added: 'Hell will freeze over before I do that.' And it seems that the drama is firmly in the past for Rebekah, who says it's 'done, it's over'.

In the ITV show, titled The Vardys, Rebekah discloses that she's still suffering from the dramatic public fallout and losing her libel case against I'm A Celeb star, Coleen. The businesswoman said: 'I'm living with the judgment the judge made, but, still to this day, I believe she was wrong. People constantly go, "Well, it's not going to change anything unless you apologise" — but I'm not apologising for something I didn't do. Like never, ever, going to apologise for something I didn't do — it's never going to happen. Hell will freeze over before I do that.'
