Prime Video has confirmed the line-up for the third series of Last One Laughing UK, with 10 comedians set to face the challenge of not laughing. Hosted by Jimmy Carr, the series will return in 2027.
New contestants and returning faces
Joining the show are Lee Mack, Katherine Ryan, Harry Hill, Katherine Parkinson, Michelle de Swarte, Jon Richardson, Morgana Robinson, Josh Jones, and Roisin Conaty, who steps down from her role as Jimmy Carr's assistant to participate. Richard Ayoade, who appeared in the inaugural series, will also return.
Mel Giedroyc, who featured in series two, will take over from Roisin as Jimmy's second-in-command.
Previous winners and format
Bob Mortimer won the first series and returned for the second, where he was eliminated. David Mitchell of Peep Show won series two after a stalemate with Australian comedian Sam Campbell, with the champion determined by who had generated the most laughs during the six-hour filming period. David will not return to defend his title.
The series is expected to launch in March 2027, following the March 20 and March 19 debuts of the first two seasons. It is anticipated to comprise six episodes, potentially released in batches as before.
Halloween special ahead
Before series three, a special edition titled Last One Laughing: Halloween will feature comics attempting not to laugh or scream. Its opening three episodes arrive on Prime Video from October 23, with the concluding episode on October 30. The cast includes Jack Dee, Phil Wang, Reece Shearsmith, Harriet Dyer, Tom Allen, and series one participants Lou Sanders and Daisy May Cooper.
