James Blunt's robotic Traitors shower scene baffles viewers

James Blunt has sent viewers of The Celebrity Traitors into a meltdown after a bizarre scene showing him in the shower. During the third episode of the series on Thursday, viewers saw the You're Beautiful musician lathering himself in soap as he relaxed in the shower, as The Traitors discussed whether to murder him.

The scene then cuts to Blunt, 52, in the shower, lathering himself in soap with a scrubbing brush while wearing a shower cap. But his method of cleaning himself has been branded robotic, leaving many baffled by James' actions.

Fans react to the shower scene

The singer is no stranger to being a conversation starter, but his showering method has whipped people into a frenzy. "Why is James Blunt showering himself like a robot?" asked one. "I'm actually in tears from how hard I'm laughing at this," penned another. A third wrote: "Is this how Robocop would take a shower?"

Meanwhile, a fourth went on to pay homage to James' famous lyric 'Goodbye my lover,' writing: "Goodbye my loofah." Another said: "TV highlight - funniest thing he's ever done and that includes all his alleged music."

What's next in the series

Tonight, viewers will see who Traitors, Maya Jama, James Acaster and Professor Hannah Fry have decided to murder. The trio were seen discussing whether to murder the singer, actor Bella Ramsey and singer-actor Sebastian 'Bash' Croft.

Last night, viewers saw Traitor Richard E. Grant banished from the castle, after he revealed to his co-stars that he was, in fact, a Traitor, during the launch episode. However, that wasn't the only shocking moment – as part of the task, Jerry Hall and Hannah faced being murdered. But at breakfast, their co-stars were left stunned to see both women walk in.

Little did they know, Hannah had been recruited by remaining Traitors, Maya and James A, although some had their suspicions. During the roundtable, Black Mirror star, Myha'La, was banished, after many believed that she was a Traitor. Their suspicions arose after the actress showed support for Richard, implying he was a Faithful. During the roundtable, she changed her mind and chose to send Richard home, after winking at him, with many believing this was a huge clue about her position. They, however, were wrong, and there are still three Traitors at large.

Those remaining in the castle are completely unaware as to who the real Traitors are, with some believing that Jerry might be a Traitor. Others believe that EastEnders hardman Ross Kemp could be one. But nobody, as of yet, has raised suspicions about Maya and James Acaster. The episode saw a peak audience of 10.3 million people.
