Gemma Collins, Mo Farah and Scarlett Moffatt are among the famous faces entering the jungle for the second series of I’m a Celebrity... South Africa. The all-star spin-off brings together memorable campmates from previous series to face gruesome trials in the South African wilderness.
Ant and Dec return to host the pre-recorded series on ITV, which last aired in 2023. This year's cast includes Gogglebox star Moffatt, Olympian Farah, Waterloo Road's Adam Thomas, Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, boxer David Haye, comedian Seann Walsh, Coronation Street's Beverley Callard and singer Sinitta.
Four late entries will join the camp: Towie's Gemma Collins, actor and DJ Craig Charles, and former footballers Jimmy Bullard and Harry Redknapp. Collins is one of the most memorable campmates, having spent just 72 hours in the jungle in 2014 before leaving. She famously refused to jump from a helicopter and complained about the lack of food, uttering her iconic phrase: “I just wanna be me.”
Charles and Collins struck up a friendship during the 2014 series, but Charles left after four days following the death of his brother. Bullard, who also appeared that year, clashed with Jake Quickenden and became the first contestant voted out.
Moffatt won the 2016 series, while Farah and Callard took part in the 2020 series filmed at Wales' Gwrych Castle due to Covid. Farah came eighth, and Callard left camp in fourth place. Walsh returned to TV with I'm a Celebrity in 2022 after his Strictly Come Dancing scandal.
The first South Africa series saw Myleene Klass crowned winner. This year, a new twist gives the public the power to vote for the winner during a live final in London. Ant McPartlin said: “The campmates really brought their A-game to the first series, so we can’t wait to be back.” Dec Donnelly added: “Having a live final is an exciting addition.”
