I'm A Celebrity's 25th Series Promises Most Brutal Start Yet

Contestants on the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! are facing what producers are calling the most challenging camp set-up in the show's history. As the hit ITV programme prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary, bosses have introduced several dramatic changes designed to test the celebrities like never before.

Camp Divisions and Luxury Battles

In a major twist that will create immediate tension, four celebrities will compete for a Getaway car that transfers them to camp and awards them the most luxurious beds ever seen on the show. This new concept is expected to cause significant friction among the campmates from the very beginning.

A show source revealed: "It's going to cause real consternation among the others, and really put the cat among the pigeons." The traditional luxury items that celebrities could previously win have been completely eliminated this year, making the battle for comfortable sleeping arrangements even more significant.

Snake Infestation and Rule Changes

This year's contestants will also face an unprecedented number of snakes in the Australian jungle. Executive producer Olly Nash confirmed: "We've had more snakes during build-up than ever... huge great big pythons." Some of these reptiles measure up to an intimidating 10 feet in length.

Significant rule changes will also force celebrities to share more of the demanding Bushtucker Trials. Contestants will now be limited to participating in no more than two consecutive trials, preventing any single person from dominating the challenges as happened last year with Dean McCullough, who undertook seven trials.

Celebrity Line-up and 25th Anniversary Spectacular

The star-studded line-up flying to Australia includes:

  • Emmerdale's Lisa Riley
  • YouTuber Morgan Burtwistle (Angry Ginge)
  • EastEnders actress Shona McGarty
  • Comedian Ruby Wax
  • TV presenter Alex Scott
  • Jack Osbourne
  • Rapper Aitch
  • Presenter Vogue Williams

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly return to host the milestone series, with producers determined to make the 25th anniversary the most memorable yet. A source close to the show stated: "Producers are expected to pull out the stops to ensure the 25th series is the most memorable yet."

The changes come after viewer frustration last year when Ant McPartlin himself expressed bewilderment at Dean McCullough repeatedly being voted for trials, asking: "Who's still voting for Dean, I don't get it." The new system ensures that more celebrities will participate in trials than ever before, creating increased competition and requiring everyone to contribute equally to camp life.
