Sadie King has made a colossal mistake in Emmerdale that could ruin her entire cover. The character, played by Patsy Kensit, has been trying to find the £150,000 that dead Jimmy King hid away, using the ruse that she and Jimmy had been in a relationship to get close to Nicola and hopefully the money.
However, her plans are in jeopardy after a drunken slip of the tongue. Sadie has been pretending to be interested in Ruby Miligan's wine business to get her foot in the door at the depot, where she believes the cash is hidden.
Sadie's cover nearly blown
During a wine tasting with Ruby, Sadie gets distracted and starts rooting around, but she is caught red-handed by Caleb. She is forced to confess she is searching for the money but lies that she plans to give it to Nicola. Caleb is fooled by this.
Later, as the pair sample more wine, Sadie gets tiddly and comes dangerously close to letting slip her secret when she tells Ruby about a fling with Federico in New York last Christmas before passing out. Ruby can handle her drink and doesn't forget a word.
Robert warns Sadie
The next day, Ruby grills Sadie on what she meant. Sadie manages to sidestep the landmine with Ruby suitably satisfied by her fresh lies, and later warns Robert to watch himself and not get himself into a pickle like she did.
Robert tells her it's time to bow out, as it's getting too risky, but Sadie won't hear it. Her cocky confidence could be her undoing. Will she be the first to find the money, or will she finally get caught out?
