The most expensive property sale recorded in the North East in 2026 so far reached £3,075,000, for a detached home at 13 Kenton Avenue, NE3 4JD, in Gosforth, Newcastle.
According to analysis of Land Registry data shared by Brickview.ai, the region's 10 highest-value transactions include nine with a previous recorded sale, eight of which sold at a gain on their previous price.
Strongest price increase and sharpest fall
The strongest return was at 8 The Rise, NE20 9LJ, in Newcastle, which sold for £1,510,000, a 1213.6% increase on its previous recorded price from 1997. The sharpest fall was at Woodlands, NE61 6AG, in Northumberland, which sold for £2,675,000, below its previous recorded price.
One property, Prior Manor on Stagshaw Road, NE45 5HR, in Corbridge, appears in the Land Registry for the first time, with no previous sale to compare. It sold for £1,600,000.
