Coronation Street viewers believe they have worked out Idris Nazir's next move after it emerged he is set to target Carla Connor-Swain and her Underworld factory. The character, played by Junade Khan, has already made waves in Weatherfield, and fans now suspect Sam Blakeman could be dragged into his schemes.
Idris Nazir's arrival and family secret
Idris arrived in Weatherfield back in May, introduced as the cousin of Alya Nazir. However, he later dropped a bombshell by revealing he is actually her uncle. He disclosed that Yasmeen Nazir's husband, Sharif, had an affair with his mother, making him the half-brother of Alya's late father, Kal.
His arrival made an impression when he strolled into Speed Daal and forced two inappropriate customers to pay up, supporting Leanne Battersby and Brody Michaelis. Leanne quickly fell for his charms, while Brody was taken under his wing, though with dodgy consequences.
Sam Blakeman in Idris' sights
Fans now fear Sam could get wrapped up in Idris' games after the youngster was caught using a credit card he had stolen from Idris at the Bistro. This came after Sam had confessed to racking up debt in his dad Nick Tilsley's name by secretly trading crypto.
Idris is set on getting his hands on the Bistro, having already bought Alya's shares in Speed Daal, making him and Leanne business partners. He has also been posting anonymous reviews trashing the Bistro after Speed Daal customers suffered food poisoning from meat sourced from the Bistro, following a problem with their usual supplier.
Nick has said they can no longer afford to pay their meat supplier and have been reduced to buying meat from Freshco. Leanne suggested they should cut their losses and sell the business. During Thursday's (October 15) edition of Corrie, Toyah Battersby confronted Leanne, saying she had worked out that she and Idris are trying to sabotage the Bistro to buy it for a knockdown price.
Fan theories on Idris' manipulation

Carla becomes Idris' next target
It comes after Junade revealed that Carla will become Idris' next target. Speaking to Digital Spy last month, he teased: "Carla does not like Idris! Basically, Underworld is something that Idris wants to get. He wants to grab hold of it – and there's going to be a bit of a battle, a bit of a tussle.
"Obviously, that's her livelihood, so she's not going to give it up easily, but we'll see what happens. I don't know if I can tell you exactly what happens, but it's going to be interesting."
