Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has reunited with former soap legend Angela Lonsdale for a special birthday trip to Greece, with both actresses documenting the occasion on social media.
Georgia, from Wigan, is best known for playing Toyah Battersby in the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford. She first arrived on the cobbles at just 17 years old in 1997, alongside Janice and Les Battersby and Les' daughter, Leanne.
Birthday Celebrations in the Sunshine
Away from her Weatherfield alter-ego, which she has played on-and-off for almost 30 years, Georgia often shares updates on social media. This week, she has been spending time in the sunshine with Angela Lonsdale, who found fame as cobbles policewoman Emma Taylor, Curly Watts' second wife, from 2000 to 2003.
Celebrating her birthday this week, Angela took to Instagram with photos of herself and Georgia, tagging them as being in Greece, and wrote: "My darling kitty @realgeorgiataylor, you have made this birthday and this trip the most beautiful birthday I could only have dreamed of. I'm so happy to have spent it with you. I'll treasure these memories forever my darling. Love you beyond ….#mygal."
A Friendship Spanning 25 Years
In response, Georgia said: "Ah me too, my lovely! What a hoot," as their Corrie pals Samia Longchambon and Sally Dynevor also took to the comments section by posting heart emojis.
Georgia has also mentioned the trip on her own social media account. Sharing a smiling selfie of the pair, she said: "Over 25 years of friendship @realangelalonsdale [heart emoji]."
Recent Trips and Celebrations
It comes after Angela and Sally Dynevor were seen enjoying a trip to Los Angeles, having attended the star-studded wedding of The 1975 frontman, Matty Healy. At the time, she shared a string of pictures in a video montage, showing how she and Sally spent their last evening together in LA, following the recent wedding celebrations.
Captioning the post, the soap star wrote: "Memories made on the last night in LA with my sister from another mister @sallydynevor and the perfect end to what can only be described as one of the best weeks of our lives with the people we love. LA you have been everything and more and thank you so much @trumanblack @gabbriette @denise_welch @lincolntownley #timhealy @healytymd and all our gang for memories we will treasure forever and a day ! Until the next time LA La land #itsbeenemotional."
