Coronation Street fans have predicted the outcome of Bethany Platt's pregnancy surprise, with the news coming after she slept with her mum's ex, Kit Green, and started a new romance with Ryan Connor.
During Tuesday's (October 13) episode of the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, it was revealed that Bethany is pregnant, weeks after she slept with Kit, the ex-partner of her mother, Sarah Platt, while she has been behind bars, having been on remand for the murder of Theo Silverton.
The controversial one-night stand took place last month, after Sarah had dumped Kit in a bid to spare him from the ordeal, as he faced losing his career for her, and she faces the rest of her life behind bars.
Kit's secret health battle
In the aftermath of the split, Kit was seen drinking more and pushing away those who care about him. But what they didn't know at the time was that, as well as losing Sarah, he had also been shaken by an unexpected breast cancer diagnosis in another hard-hitting health storyline for the long-running show.
It was during the time he was keeping his diagnosis a secret that Kit ended up sleeping with Bethany, before they later agreed it was a mistake that won't happen again, and have been trying to keep the secret hidden ever since.
Sarah's fate and fan theories
This week, after months behind bars on remand, Sarah will get the chance to fight for her freedom as she tries to convince the jury that she didn't kill Theo in cold blood, and new spoilers for next week's Corrie have confirmed that Sarah will finally learn her fate.
But if she does manage to convince the jury of her innocence, Sarah will face more heartbreak if she discovers her daughter is pregnant with Kit's child. Meanwhile, Corrie fans think they know what Bethany will do, despite actress Lucy Fallon confirming who her baby daddy is after fans predicted a paternity twist.
