Celebrity Traitors winners 'sealed' as huge stars tipped to win

Bookmakers have tipped Maya Jama and James Acaster as the most likely winners of The Celebrity Traitors, with both priced at 5/1, while Jerry Hall has emerged as the outsider least fancied to triumph.

The odds were released before Richard E Grant and Myha'la were eliminated. Grant was declared a Traitor before being forced to retract, becoming the first celebrity eliminated around the roundtable during Thursday's episode. Myha'la departed shortly afterwards following a tense roundtable showdown, while Amol Rajan had earlier become the first celebrity victim of murder.

Bookies' favourites and outsiders

Betway's figures show actress and model Jerry alongside content creator King Kenny both priced at 33/1 for victory. Michael Sheen follows at 7/1, Rob Beckett at 8/1 and Romesh Ranganathan at 9/1. Fellow Faithfuls Joe Lycett and Joanne McNally also have decent prospects, while Bella Ramsey, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney all stand at 25/1.

Jerry Hall and Professor Hannah Fry were also anticipated to face elimination after a challenge left them exposed, though the academic was subsequently recruited by Traitors James Acaster and Maya Jama to join their sinister alliance.

Fans back Sharon Rooney

Some fans have speculated that Sharon will last well into the competition, with one posting on Reddit: "She's had hardly any screen time, which tends to be a sign she's not going anywhere too soon tbh."

Another said: "I agree, as long as she plays it smart. She's exactly the kind of person who often makes it far: unassuming, likable, funny but not overbearing. People will probably underestimate her. I can totally see her winning the whole thing."

Someone else wrote: "I assume she gets very far or wins as she has little to no air time yet," as another added: "Watch out for those players that never get shown - they make it to the end because they need to showcase those about to get murdered or banished first."

Jerry Hall's excitement

Prior to the series launching, Jerry had expressed her passion for The Celebrity Traitors, saying: "I have been completely obsessed. I just thought it was the best show when I first saw it, and I love playing games."

She added: "I felt thrilled to be asked to be involved as I just think it's wonderful. Saying yes in life has sometimes got me in trouble, but a lot of times it's led to wonderful adventures, and I am excited to embark on this adventure."

Jerry also said: "I think I'm quite excited about the Missions. I am the oldest person doing it, but I am quite an active person. I don't sit down much. I have a lot of animals - two dogs, a cat, three horses, eight chickens. I do a lot of gardening. I'm very, very busy, and then I babysit my three grandchildren a lot. I'm quite an active person so I think I'll be okay."

The Celebrity Traitors continues at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
