The second episode of the 2026 Celebrity Traitors has left three celebrities' fates uncertain after a burial challenge and a tense roundtable discussion. The episode revealed that Amol Rajan had been 'killed', and the Traitors—Richard E Grant, Maya Jama, and new recruit James Acaster—were forced to keep their identities hidden.
Richard's confession from the previous episode continued to haunt the group, making it difficult for the Traitors to avoid suspicion. Before the roundtable, the celebrities were taken to what host Claudia Winkleman called 'the biggest graveyard in Traitors' history', where they faced headstones bearing their names.
Burial challenge and 'haggis' scream
The players were instructed to get into graves, with covers shutting behind them as they were buried. Those who found the experience unbearable could scream 'haggis' to escape. Jerry Hall did so within five minutes, automatically putting herself and partner Professor Hannah Fry up for murder.
Ross Kemp, who had been tactfully saved by the Traitors without his knowledge, worked with comedian Romesh Ranganathan to dig up the other celebrities and save them from murder.
Roundtable theories and possible recruit
Despite Jerry calling out 'haggis', Hannah fell into the firing line at the roundtable after a theory from James Blunt. The singer told the group: 'If we've had a murder and recruit, I think you're going to murder the biggest threat to you, and you're going to recruit the person that even more threatening to you.' He added, 'The recruit was Hannah.'
Hannah defended herself unconvincingly, saying: 'I would love to have been recruited. Honestly, I would have loved to have been recruited.' Richard faced a brutal pile-on for his confession, which could see him banished, leaving space for a new recruit.
Potential new Traitor
One Faithful's fate faces a major shake-up, with remaining Traitors likely to choose Bella Ramsey. The actress had been accurate in her suspicion of Richard and questioned why he did not share a single theory but instead focused on defending himself.
