Call the Midwife Star Helen George Eyes The Traitors Role

Helen George, best known for playing Trixie Aylward in the BBC drama Call the Midwife, has expressed interest in appearing on the reality show The Traitors. The actress, who has starred in the period drama since 2012, is currently taking a break from the series to perform in the West End production of High Society at The Barbican in London.

George recently attended the press night after-party for High Society with her boyfriend, Dan Innes, a real estate consultant. The couple began dating in February 2025 and went public on Valentine's Day. George split from her former Call the Midwife co-star Jack Ashton in July 2023 after seven years together; they share two daughters.

Meanwhile, Call the Midwife is set to return for future series, with a prequel and a film also in development. The most recent series, the 15th, aired earlier this year and saw Trixie returning to London after leaving her husband in America. She used her inheritance to secure a controlling stake in a women's clinic.

George's stage role as Tracy Lord in High Society is a major UK revival of Cole Porter's musical, featuring a full-size orchestra and classic songs. The production is running at The Barbican.
