Big Brother's Philip misses spin-off after eviction

Philip Regan was absent from the latest episode of Big Brother: The Group Chat, prompting concern among viewers after his eviction from the main show last week.

Philip was one of two housemates to leave the Big Brother house on Friday, October 30, in a double eviction twist announced by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best. He and Rhianna were forced to say their goodbyes just days before the grand final.

Absence Explained on Spin-Off Show

Evicted housemates typically appear on the spin-off show The Group Chat the following Sunday evening to discuss their time in the house. However, in the most recent instalment on Sunday, November 1, only Rhianna appeared to chat with hosts GK Barry and Kate Lawler, with Philip missing.

Kate explained his reason for not appearing, telling viewers: "Philip would be joining us but unfortunately, he can't be with us today because he's needed at home with his family. But we hope he will be on the show later on this week."

Viewers React on Social Media

Viewers took to social media to share their concerns. One person wrote on X: "why wasn't Philip on the Group chat? Is he in hiding?" Another said: "Philip hasn't reactivated his social media and isnt going on Group Chat", as a third added: "Philip not doing his post eviction appearance on the Group Chat show."

A fourth penned: "Not Philip pulling out of the group chat. That man is in hiding." A fifth shared their concern: "Oo I hope Philip is okay not appearing on the podcast." Another echoed: "Philip not on the Group Chat... Hmmm... Do hope everything's okay but having to sit through Rhianna oh yay."

Eviction and Fallout

Philip, known as The Queen of Scotty Road, came under fire in recent weeks from fans over his on-screen behaviour and comments towards fellow housemates. He also clashed with special guest Tiffany Pollard in explosive scenes.

On Friday's episode, Philip was greeted with boos from the live audience as he spoke to Will and AJ about his time on the show. He admitted he was "surprised" to face the public vote this week, and when asked about Rochelle, he added: "I like her."

He went on to say: "The relationship we had was like a love hate relationship... at the end of the day we're all strangers in there, none of us are real friends." Philip then confessed: "It's a game and we're all in it to win it."

Speaking about his clash with Tiffany, Philip said: "She come for f**** me because she's been paid I'd say over £100,000 to come in here. I'm telling you Will." Admitting it was his speculation, he later stated: "I'm proud to say I've been in the seventh week, I really am proud no matter what anyone thinks of me.... it's hard work."

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
