Big Brother's Pauline breaks silence on Twinks and 'organic-gate'

Evicted Big Brother star Pauline has broken her silence on 'organic-gate' and her flirtation with Twinks after being forced to leave the show. Pauline was the fourth housemate to be evicted, losing a head-to-head public vote against Rob following a round of face-to-face nominations.

Appearing on the spin-off show The Group Chat with hosts GK Barry and Kate Lawler, Pauline addressed her growing closeness with newcomer Twinks. Asked by GK if she "wants a slice" of Twinks, Pauline said: "The best way I can say it, she stuck it on me and I was receptive."

Pauline on Twinks flirtation

Pauline explained: "She put it on thick, it caught me by surprise a lot of the time. I was receptive to it. I feel like when someone is being complimentary of you, you don't want to shut it down. Let people express themselves and how they feel about you."

She added: "So I was like okay I receive it, I receive it, and sometimes I met her where she was at you know? That's just how I am. Even my mum knows, it's normal for me to flirt all the time."

Host Kate remarked: "It really felt like you changed as a housemate, you came alive and I loved the playful side of you. You wanted to have a drink, you wanted to get in the hot tub." Pauline replied: "Wild. I have drank more in that house than I have in my entire life."

Organic-gate explained

Speaking about Twinks, Pauline said: "She's a fun girl, she wants an accolade that 'I am part of P's awakening, I want to take credit for this', down girl, calm down." She added: "But she's actually a phenomenal woman I must say." However, Pauline admitted the connection was purely platonic on her side.

Pauline also addressed the controversy over her preference for organic food, which led to her being nominated. She said that when it came to the shopping list, she let other housemates choose first: "They decided that fake tan, eyelashes, things that were not food were a priority for them, and that's what they did. For me, my priority is fuelling myself in the correct way."

Pauline insisted she should not be shamed for her food preferences, noting she never told others they could not eat the organic food, only to let her know. She said: "Organic is not a dietary requirement, it's a preference. It doesn't mean I can't eat anything else."

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
