Big Brother fans are expressing their disappointment after Sam and Twinks chose to keep their handcuffs on for the full 24 hours, despite having the opportunity to remove them at any point.
The ITV2 reality show's latest episode, airing tonight (October 22), sees Sam and Twinks complete their challenge as part of the ongoing House of Time theme. Big Brother had offered Rochelle the chance to earn an extra 30 seconds with her family back home, but only if two housemates of her choice remained handcuffed together for an entire day.
Rochelle selected her 'rivals' Sam and Twinks to be joined at the hip, unaware that they could remove the handcuffs whenever they wanted and dock 30 seconds from her existing timebank.
Secret Plan and Fan Reaction
In Wednesday's episode (October 21), Sam and Twinks secretly decided to go along with the challenge, knowing they were in complete control. The pair hinted they would eventually unlock the cuffs as payback against Rochelle, but fans have been let down by what actually happened.
ITV has now dropped a preview for the upcoming episode, showing that Sam and Twinks stuck it out for the full 24 hours locked together, and Rochelle wasn't exactly thankful.
In footage posted on Instagram, Twinks can be seen raging as she declares: "I've been a good sport, and for us to relinquish these cuffs and no one even be like 'well done guys' you know or like 'good.' And for that woman, to at no point today say 'thank you.'"
She adds: "I'm going slightly out of my mind... me and my boy gave you 30 f**** seconds for 24 hours... Gratitude, empathy, kindness costs nothing."
The fashion stylist is also heard warning: "If she gets 30 seconds and we did all of that, I will start ripping this place apart with my bare hands."
Viewers Left Puzzled
While Twinks seems irritated by Rochelle's lack of appreciation for her sacrifice, those watching from home have been left puzzled by the duo's choice to wear the cuffs for the entire day.
One person on social media asked: "You are kidding me...they kept them on? How disappointing." Another agreed, writing: "I'm so annoyed they didn't rip those cuffs off at the earliest opportunity."
A third viewer commented: "Ughhh I was hoping they'd take the cuffs off," while a fourth said: "OMG THEY LITERALLY HAD THE CHANCE TO TAKE OFF THE HANDCUFFS! ! ! !"
This comes as a shock to dedicated viewers because Rochelle has made it obvious she isn't keen on Twinks since her opening night in the house. The pair has kept clashing for weeks, so fans anticipated Twinks would wreck the task in retaliation.
