Big Brother backdoor eviction confirmed before live final

A ninth housemate is set to be evicted from the Big Brother house tonight, just hours before the live final. The ITV series has confirmed the twist ahead of the showpiece finale, which is expected to be broadcast live.

Unusually, the grand finale to the current series will air on Thursday (November 5), followed by a special reunion episode the next day. However, Wednesday's (November 4) episode will see fans witness a backdoor eviction.

Twist Revealed to Housemates

A preview clip posted on the show's official Instagram page shows the news being shared with the house following their recent time travel challenge. Rochelle says: "My heart is going." Twinks is seen earlier in the day telling Big Brother in the Diary Room: "If you kick me out in this dress, I will never forgive you."

She shares that she is 'fuming' following Rochelle's comments the night before. Her mood is not improved when she discovers the outfit she is forced to wear for the 1920s inspired task.

Afterwards, the group are gathered on the sofas as Big Brother says: "The mystery of the missing housemate is about to become permanent. Unbeknownst to you, the public have been voting for the housemate they want to win Big Brother. The ninth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother is...."

Favourites and Odds

Someone is heard commenting: "Talk about mind games." Meanwhile a mystery contestant audibly cries in the Diary Room but their identity is hidden.

According to the latest odds, two stars are clear favourites to be the one booted out. Ladbrokes have Frankie and Omar at 80/1 to win the entire series, meaning they are most likely to miss out on the final.

Twinks remains the overwhelming favourite to win at 4/7, ahead of Rochelle at 6/4. They are followed by Yasmin at 14/1, Samuel at 18/1 and Catrin at 50/1. Lynx remains an outside at 66/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Eight is surely too many for a series finale, so we wouldn't be surprised to see at least one name sent packing before then, and the odds suggest Frankie and Omar could be in trouble."

Fan Reactions

Fans can't wait to see the evicted housemate revealed as Jedward commented on Instagram and said: "Back door eviction is what the boring Housemates deserve"

Another predicted: "Frankie surely has gone for Yas to be bawling like that at the end or is it mind games. Roll on 9pm!"

Someone else said: "If they're solving a mystery but the answer is who the next evicted housemate is that's a pretty cool way to do the back door eviction."

Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
