During Monday's episode, Ginge became visibly frustrated with fellow campmates for using clean cups to eat from, which doubled the washing up. This irritation continued into Tuesday's episode, where he scolded the group again and later admitted in the Bush Telegraph that he was 'not having it anymore'. Fans took to social media to share their changing opinions, with one writing: 'Anyone else having a change of mind on Ginge? He’s coming across as a whiny spoilt little boy.'
Some viewers speculate that homesickness may be the root cause of his mood shift. Kadi said: '[Ginge] said, “You’re using too many dishes”, so we switched to the cups. This was his idea. Ginge just doesn’t want to do the dishes.' Kadi also noted that Ginge had an easy time as camp leader and in the treehouse, which may have made the adjustment harder.
