I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans are expressing concern for YouTuber Angry Ginge, whose recent behaviour in the jungle has led some to believe he is 'struggling' with camp life. The content creator, known for his usually calm and easygoing demeanour, has been seen clashing with campmates over chores, prompting viewers to suggest his 'mask has slipped'.
During Monday's episode, Ginge became visibly frustrated with fellow campmates for using clean cups to eat from, which doubled the washing up. This irritation continued into Tuesday's episode, where he scolded the group again and later admitted in the Bush Telegraph that he was 'not having it anymore'. Fans took to social media to share their changing opinions, with one writing: 'Anyone else having a change of mind on Ginge? He’s coming across as a whiny spoilt little boy.'
Some viewers speculate that homesickness may be the root cause of his mood shift. One fan commented: 'I feel like he’s the most homesick one there and that’s probably affecting his mood and behaviour.' Another added that his campmates were not helping, saying: 'His head has gone down... rather than supporting him people are at him.' However, others were less sympathetic, pointing out that Ginge was upbeat when he was camp leader but became whiny when others took charge.
Fellow campmate Eddie Kadi shed light on the situation during the show's spin-off, Unpacked, revealing that the cup idea was actually Ginge's own suggestion. Kadi said: '[Ginge] said, “You’re using too many dishes”, so we switched to the cups. This was his idea. Ginge just doesn’t want to do the dishes.' Kadi also noted that Ginge had an easy time as camp leader and in the treehouse, which may have made the adjustment harder.
As the drama unfolds, fans remain divided on whether Ginge's behaviour is a genuine struggle or a revealing glimpse of his true character.
