I'm A Celeb's Angry Ginge 'Struggling' as Fans Claim His 'Mask Has Slipped'
Angry Ginge's 'Mask Slips' as I'm A Celeb Fans Worry

Viewers of ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! have expressed growing concern for contestant Angry Ginge, with many suggesting the popular content creator's composed facade has finally cracked under the pressures of camp life.

From Calm to Confrontational: A Shift in Behaviour

The YouTuber, known for his generally easygoing demeanour in the jungle, displayed a marked change in attitude during Monday's episode. His frustration boiled over, primarily directed at fellow campmates for using clean cups to eat from, a practice he argued needlessly doubled the washing-up duties.

This irritable behaviour spilled into Tuesday's instalment, where he was seen admonishing the group once more. In a private moment in the Bush Telegraph, the star vented his exasperation, stating firmly, "I'm not having it anymore."

Fan Theories: Homesickness or True Colours?

The shift has not gone unnoticed by the show's dedicated audience, who took to social media platform X to dissect the change. One viewer commented, "Anyone else having a change of mind on Ginge? I was a fan at first... Last few episodes I’ve been changing my mind on him, he’s coming across as a whiny spoilt little boy."

Many fans theorised that his mood swing is less about crockery and more a sign of him struggling with isolation. "I feel like he’s the most homesick one there and that’s probably affecting his mood and behaviour a bit," one supporter suggested. Another agreed he seemed to be "struggling", noting that his usual role as the camp's morale booster had been abandoned with no one filling the void.

Critics Point to Hypocrisy and Sweet Scandal

However, not all observers were sympathetic. Critics were quick to highlight a perceived hypocrisy, recalling how Ginge was upbeat and jocular when he was a camp leader with the power to delegate. "But then when it was Shona and Lisa’s turn to do the same thing he was whiney and unhappy about it," one user pointed out.

This criticism was compounded by a later incident involving treats. Fans accused Ginge of showing his true colours when he, alongside Aitch and Kelly Brook, chose to eat half the sweets they had won in a task, sharing only a few with the rest of the camp. "The mask has slipped," one viewer declared. "It was his idea to eat extra sweets but on social media Kelly is getting the blame."

Adding further context, campmate Eddie Kadi revealed on the companion show I'm A Celebrity...Unpacked that the contentious cup usage was originally Ginge's own idea to save on washing up. Kadi humorously suggested Ginge's struggle stemmed from his earlier privileged position, having enjoyed time in the luxurious treehouse: "He’s from the royal family of the jungle, he’s spent too long in the treehouse."
