I'm A Celeb's Angry Ginge in Tears as Mum Reunites in Emotional ITV Clip
Angry Ginge Breaks Down in I'm A Celeb Family Reunion

Viewers of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! are set for a deeply emotional episode after ITV released a teaser showing streamer Angry Ginge breaking down in tears during a surprise family reunion.

An Overwhelming Jungle Reunion

The short clip, posted ahead of tonight's episode, captures the moment the contestant, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, instantly covers his face upon spotting his loved ones. He then sprints towards them, eyes scrunched shut with emotion, before being enveloped in a huge, tearful hug by his mum Michelle and sister Tasha.

The intimate scene has already resonated powerfully with fans online. Many flooded social media comments with reactions like "Who’s cutting onions!!" and "Who else is crying?", while others admitted they were left "sobbing" by the raw display of affection.

A Mother's Sacrifice and Son's Rise to Fame

The touching reunion follows recent revelations about Burtwistle's background. His mother Michelle recently spoke to The Mirror, detailing the struggles she faced as a single mum raising Morgan and Tasha in their ex-council home in Eccles.

She worked multiple low-paid jobs to cover bills and dealt with the mortgage alone, a story Morgan shared with his campmates. Despite her efforts, she was eventually forced to sell the family home. To ease the financial burden, Morgan went to live with his Nana, a move Michelle said was a "huge emotional relief" at the time.

Unbeknownst to her, her son was building an online career. After almost giving up on Twitch streaming in 2020, a memory of his late grandfather spurred him to try one last time. Michelle only grasped his growing fame when he revealed 85,000 people watched one broadcast, and football legend Wayne Rooney became a viewer and later a friend, even inviting Morgan to his son's christening.

"I never ever thought in a million years I'd ever be coming to Australia but to be coming for this reason as well…none of us can believe it," the proud mum said.

Emotional Week in Camp

This heartwarming family moment comes during a week where Morgan has faced some viewer scrutiny over minor disputes in camp regarding chores and food. This tension has coincided with a shift in his odds to win the series.

However, his mother has fiercely defended him, telling the Manchester Evening News: "He's doing really good. He's doing amazing, I'm really proud of him. The challenges he's done, he's done well in all of them."

She added, "He's really tried and put his heart into it... Him being who he is in the jungle is actually showing himself, rather than who he is on the camera."

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
