22 Kids and Counting: Who is eldest son Chris Radford?

22 Kids and Counting stars Sue and Noel Radford are back on TV screens, but not everyone in the family wishes to be part of the Channel 5 docu-series. Fans are curious to know more about the couple's first-born, Chris Radford, who has chosen to take a step back from the spotlight.

Sue and Noel Radford first became parents in 1989 but have since welcomed 21 more children and now have 15 grandchildren after Millie Radford gave birth to son Cooper-Jax. While most of the Radford family are open about their personal lives, Chris has sparked curiosity by keeping his life away from the cameras.

Who is Chris Radford?

Chris Radford was born in May 1989, making him 37 years old. His birth kicked off Sue and Noel's large family. Sue was just 14 when she was pregnant with Chris, and Noel, who was 18 at the time, has opened up about people's views of them starting a family so early. He said: "We were both kids. It was not as if I was 10 or 15 years older than Sue. For a lot of people, though, things are just black and white and you are tarnished with the same brush as other people in totally different situations."

Chris, like many members of the Radford family, used to work at Noel's bakery but is currently working as a glazier. He is married to Nicole Spencer, and the couple have three children together: Maisie-Paige, Jacob and Oaklyn. Chris also has four step-children, Bailey, Ethan, Albie and Tobias, who Nicole had from previous relationships.

Keeping out of the spotlight

While Chris is sometimes mentioned or briefly features in 22 Kids and Counting, he has preferred to keep his life away from the cameras.

In this evening's episode, Chloe Radford welcomes her second child but struggles to deal with their "relentless" crying. Meanwhile, Sue and Noel head off on a camping trip with their five youngest children, described as "the smallest Radford family holiday they've had in more than 25 years".

22 Kids and Counting continues every Sunday at 8pm on Channel 5.
