Meghan Markle 'definitely' to resume acting, source says

Meghan Markle will "definitely" resume her acting career, a source close to the Duchess has told The Times, as she and Prince Harry settle back into life in the UK.

The Duchess currently focuses on her lifestyle brand, As Ever, alongside charity work. However, a friend told The Times she "has been sent lots of scripts, which she's looking at." Recent speculation linked her to a role in the next series of Guy Ritchie's Netflix drama The Gentlemen.

First joint appearance in Nottingham

On Thursday, the Sussexes are reportedly set to make their first joint appearance since returning to the UK. They are expected to visit CRS Nottingham for an acting workshop and to cook with the women of the Grenfell Hubb Community Kitchen at a food bank, according to the outlet.

They are also expected to meet Epic Partners, which supports young people in sport, and to visit the Community Recording Studio, which supports young people affected by violence. Meghan, known for her role in the television drama Suits before marrying Harry, is expected to take part in an acting workshop there, The Times reports.

Return to royal roots

Nottingham is where the couple made their first appearance together after announcing their engagement in 2017. Prince Harry proposed to Meghan on the palace grounds just weeks before the announcement on November 27, 2017.

In the pair's 2022 Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, he revealed he set up "15 electric candles" and roses to propose. "He's down on one knee and I was like, 'Yes!' We were so joyful and excited," Meghan added. "I was like, 'Ah, we're doing this!'".

The Sussexes married in 2018 and stepped back from royal roles in 2020 before moving to the USA. Now back in the UK, they plan to stay for an "extended" period with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
