YouTuber Reports Surveillance After Infiltrating Jeffrey Epstein's Notorious Private Island
A daring YouTuber who managed to sneak onto Jeffrey Epstein's abandoned private island in the Caribbean now claims he is being followed by mysterious blacked-out vehicles. The island, Little Saint James, has sat largely untouched since the disgraced financier's death in prison in 2019, yet remains a site of intense public fascination and alleged ongoing security.
The Infamous History of Little Saint James
Jeffrey Epstein purchased the 75-acre island of Little Saint James in 1998, transforming it into a secluded Caribbean retreat. Following numerous allegations that Epstein exploited and assaulted underage girls there, the location became widely known as "Paedophile Island" or simply "Epstein Island." Visitors reportedly arrived via Epstein's private jet, infamously dubbed the "Lolita Express." The island features two guest lodges, a swimming pool, a temple, a helipad, a sundial, and stunning views of crystal-clear waters, accessible only by plane or boat.
The YouTuber's Risky Expedition
YouTuber Nico Grigg traveled to the United States Virgin Islands with the explicit goal of accessing Little Saint James, despite claiming the island is under 24/7 security surveillance. After several failed attempts, Grigg and his companions decided to approach by jet-ski. Their first effort was thwarted when they were allegedly spotted by individuals in golf carts, and they also reported seeing construction workers on the island.
On a second attempt, the group successfully reached the beach of Little Saint James, but had to abort the mission after one member stepped on a sea urchin, resulting in injuries. "My f*****g hands are bleeding," Grigg recounted to his camera during the filmed expedition.
Alleged Surveillance and Ongoing Mysteries
Days after posting the video of his island infiltration, Grigg reported "suspicious vehicles" parked outside his home. He told his followers that he had observed blacked-out SUVs stationed there daily for five consecutive days and had reported the incidents to the police. "I don't know who these people are or what they want," Grigg stated, sharing pictures of the cars and describing the situation as "so weird."
The island's future remains uncertain. Billionaire Steven Deckoff reportedly purchased Little Saint James two years ago with plans to develop it into a 25-room luxury resort to boost tourism and create jobs in the region. However, as of August, the US Virgin Islands confirmed that no planning application had been submitted for either Little Saint James or the neighboring Great Saint James, leaving the island's transformation in limbo.
Broader Context: Epstein Document Releases
This incident occurs amidst ongoing public interest in the Epstein case. Last week, the US Department of Justice released millions of files related to Epstein, including three million pages, 180,000 images, and 2,000 videos. This release followed a call by US President Donald Trump six weeks prior for all Epstein documents to be made public. The files named numerous high-profile individuals, such as Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Sir Richard Branson, though being named does not imply any wrongdoing.
The combination of the island's dark history, its current abandoned state, and the YouTuber's claims of post-visit surveillance underscores the enduring intrigue and unresolved questions surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's legacy and the activities that allegedly took place on Little Saint James.
