Lineker and Ferdinand Detail Dubai Missile Attack Experiences

Influencer Tia Lineker has expressed feeling "very lucky" after a cancelled flight prevented her return to Dubai just as missile attacks erupted over the weekend. The 26-year-old daughter of Wayne Lineker, who resides in Dubai with her footballer manager husband Harry Agombar and their three-year-old son Alba, shared the update with her 584,000 Instagram followers on Tuesday.

Flight Cancellation Leads to London Safety

Tia explained that she and her family were en route back to Dubai from a ski holiday in Italy when their flight was unexpectedly cancelled. This forced them to reroute to London, where they are now staying with family. "We got very lucky with the timing of our trip," she wrote, adding that she has been in London for the past few days "in complete shock with what is going on in the world."

Her message conveyed deep emotion: "My heart is breaking for the place we call home, I hope normality is restored soon." Tia concluded by stating she has "complete faith in the government to protect everyone."

Dubai Life and Celebrity Moves

Tia and Harry, who have been together since 2001 and married in a lavish Mallorca wedding in August 2025, relocated to Dubai in 2023. This move followed Harry's appointment as head coach of the UAE Third Division League side, Arabian Falcons. Tia regularly shares glimpses of their luxurious lifestyle, including fashion snaps from their mansion and visits to VIP beach clubs and desert resorts.

Kate Ferdinand's Bunker Workouts Amid Tensions

Meanwhile, other celebrities in Dubai are facing the crisis head-on. Kate Ferdinand, who moved to Dubai last year with her former footballer husband Rio and their children, offered a peek into her family's underground bunker. Amid high tensions in the UAE following missile strikes by Iran, Kate posted on her Instagram Story from their basement gym on Tuesday.

She penned: "Good morning. A very hectic but wholesome family workout this morning. Hope everyone is ok" alongside a red love heart emoji. In the video, she showcased her gym-honed figure in a black gym set, with Rio doing an ab workout in the background and their children visible to the side.

Rio Ferdinand's Terrifying Account

Rio Ferdinand, 47, spoke candidly about the lockdown experience on his show, Rio Ferdinand Presents. "Been a different week for me, not going to lie," he said, comparing it to the Covid-19 pandemic. He described the fear of hearing missiles, planes, and fighter jets overhead, with loud bombs adding to the uncertainty.

"It's frightening when you hear missiles, planes and fighter jets - I don't know what it is - going above us, and you're hearing big bombs, and what that is we don't know as we don't know the details," Rio shared. He emphasized the challenge of keeping his children calm, including Shae, two, Cree, five, and his daughter Tia, 14.

Rio revealed that his studio has become their bunker, with the family advised to sleep in the basement on the first night of attacks. "We were down here sleeping with duvets and stuff. We are utilising the space wisely," he said, noting that despite the fear, he feels "very secure and looked after."

Broader Impact on Britons in Dubai

The missile attacks have left many Britons stranded in Dubai, with reports of terror as they take shelter in underground car parks and nightclubs. Tourists have posted videos online showing drones and debris hitting luxury hotels over the weekend. Many establishments escorted guests to safer areas like car parks and service corridors, with social media footage depicting people lying on floors or thin blankets for protection.

As Iranian missiles continue to target the Middle East, the situation remains volatile, with celebrities like Tia Lineker and the Ferdinands highlighting the personal toll and resilience amid the chaos.
