Rochelle Humes has addressed speculation about a potential reunion of The Saturdays, revealing that while the group's 20th anniversary is approaching in two years, a full-scale reunion tour is unlikely in the near future. Speaking on Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast, Humes admitted that coordinating schedules among the five members has proven challenging.
“To be totally honest, we can barely get a dinner in,” Humes said. “Our group chat is – Una's like 'I'm over from Ireland this week, who's free?' and it'll be one of us each time. Vanessa's just had a baby, Mollie's got a young family.” Despite this, she confirmed that the group chat has recently discussed a reunion, though any announcement is often misinterpreted as a comeback.
Humes noted that fans frequently mistake Mighty Hoopla festival announcements for a Saturdays reunion, adding that even JLS's involvement this year led to confusion. “They were raging, they were like 'Marvin are you joking? We wanted your wife and her group,'” she recalled.
However, Humes left the door open for a future reunion, stating: “I'm grown enough to say never say never, we don't close the door on it, we never have. Get us to a restaurant first, get us a cocktail.” Meanwhile, bandmate Una Healy has expressed enthusiasm for marking the 20th anniversary in 2028, telling 2FM Morning: “I hope so, you know that it has been 18 years now. So only two more to go. It was 2008 since the first single. The years are flying by, it's scary.” Healy emphasised that any reunion would require all five original members: “If we ever do anything again it would have to be all five or it wouldn't be the same.”
The Saturdays, formed in 2007, went on indefinite hiatus in 2014 after a string of hits including “All Fired Up” and “What About Us”. Despite the hiatus, the members have maintained a close bond, with Humes dismissing any rumours of a fallout.
