Glastonbury 2027 headliner poll: Fans pick dream acts

Glastonbury 2027 is eight months away, but the debate over who will headline the festival is already underway. Organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed all three headliners are booked, with identities expected to remain secret until spring. Tickets sold out in 42 minutes, with fans paying over £400 despite not knowing the line-up.

Who is rumoured to headline Glastonbury 2027?

Sam Fender has emerged as a strong contender, with reports suggesting the 32-year-old has secured a slot. He performed on the Pyramid Stage in 2022. Following his Mercury Prize win for People Watching and the success of his Olivia Dean collaboration Rein Me In, he has plenty of hits for a set.

Harry Styles, who has not headlined as a solo artist, is a popular choice. Rihanna, who has never headlined Glastonbury, remains on many wish lists. Taylor Swift was scheduled to headline in 2020 before the pandemic cancellation. Beyoncé, who headlined in 2011, and Ed Sheeran, who last headlined in 2017, are also possibilities.

Could a legendary rock band return?

The Rolling Stones debuted at Glastonbury in 2013. U2 last headlined in 2011. Muse has headlined in 2004, 2010, and 2016. Oasis remains a fan dream despite Eavis reportedly ruling them out.

What about the next generation?

Chappell Roan, Little Simz, Fred Again, Miley Cyrus, and Eminem are among the newer acts tipped. Madonna has been ruled out by Eavis, according to reports.

Metro readers are invited to vote in the poll for their dream headliners. Results will be revealed next week, including the top three acts and the ultimate reader line-up.
