Sir Cliff Richard has announced his 48th studio album, Only Number Ones, a collection of his personal favourite No 1 hits from artists including Elvis Presley and Harry Styles. The record is released on November 27, 2026, and marks 67 years since his first No 1 with Living Doll.
A tribute to No 1 hits
The album features 12 tracks, from Spirit in the Sky and Oh, Pretty Woman to Return to Sender and Harry Styles' Sign of the Times. A deluxe edition will include 14 of Cliff's own No 1 singles, from Living Doll and Summer Holiday to Mistletoe and Wine and The Millennium Prayer.
Sir Cliff, who is the best-selling artist in UK singles chart history behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley, said: "I suggested to Warner Music that I record an album of songs that made it to No.1. Thank heavens they agreed!! I listened to dozens of songs and chose 12 of my favourites. This record is my tribute to fabulous artists who had recorded wonderful tracks that achieved the number one position."
Birthday afternoon tea event
In his 86th birthday year, Sir Cliff is inviting fans to join him for a special afternoon tea on October 15, 2026, the day after his actual birthday, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Park Lane, London, to toast his birthday and the new album. Fans who pre-order any format of Only Number Ones from the official store between 9am on September 8 and 2pm BST on September 17, 2026 will get the chance to purchase tickets for the event.
