Noughty 90s festival returned to Leazes Park in Newcastle on Saturday, with headliners Vengaboys and East 17 among the acts on the line-up. The rain held off for the event, which saw fans turn out in eye-catching outfits themed around the decade.
Line-up and performances
The festival featured three stages of live music. On the pop stage, Vengaboys and East 17 headlined, while the Dance Stage was set to feature DJ Sash and Basshunter as headliners. The Bounce Stage was due to see an appearance from local dance icon Mc Tazo, months after he appeared on Britain's Got Talent.
Dan Harding warmed up the crowd on the decks before former Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates took to the stage as the first act, receiving a great reaction from those who arrived by mid-afternoon.
Atmosphere and fashion
As ever, attendees made the effort with their outfits, with many donning 90s-themed looks. A gallery of photos from the event captured the best-dressed fans, including groups in shellsuits, sequins and bum bags, and a hen do enjoying the occasion.
Previous editions of the festival have featured acts including Atomic Kitten, Darren Styles, A1 and Blazin' Squad. The weather on Saturday was kinder than at the McFly gig at Leazes Park on Friday evening, when rain came down.
