McFly visited Newcastle's Zucchini Pasta Bar for a pre-show meal before headlining a concert at Leazes Park. The band ate "pre-gig pasta" according to a post shared by the restaurant on social media.
Restaurant welcomes band
The restaurant, located at 55 Degrees North, is known for fresh pasta, authentic ingredients and a great atmosphere. It also offers bottomless cocktail and bottomless pasta deals for hungry customers.
In a post on Zucchini's social media page, the restaurant said: "Great having the talented McFLY in for pre-gig pastas last night. Fed the band the freshest pasta in the North East before they headed off to play Leazes Park. Thanks for coming in, lads, see you next time!"

The restaurant shared an image taken of the band with chefs and wait staff. The band then headed to Leazes Park to headline the Park series of concerts.
The billing calls them "One of the UK's most loved bands", with the band having racked up multiple UK No.1 singles, BRIT Awards, and a catalogue of anthems that defined a generation. Having supported Busted on their nationwide arena tour at the start of 2004, McFly were soon making headlines and chart smashes of their own. Debut single 5 Colours in Her Hair hit number 1 just a few months later and was followed straight to the top spot by their second single Obviously.
Other hits in the McFly locker include more chart-toppers like Star Girl, I'll Be OK and their cover of Don't Stop Me Now and, perhaps the track they're most famous for, much loved Comic Relief single All About You.
Leazes Park lineup
The band brought the ultimate hit-packed McFly set to Newcastle for a huge summer night. They are the headliner for the Park series of gigs at Leazes Park. 80s electro icons The Human League are taking to the stage on Sunday, August 30th with support from Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
