Callendar House in Falkirk is bringing back its popular Halloween Haunts event after a sell-out debut, with tickets priced at £18 and several time slots already sold out. The immersive experience runs from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, and is strictly for over-18s.
The 14th-century mansion will be transformed into a house of horrors, featuring live actors, themed rooms, spooky storytelling and a bar. Each session lasts an hour and a half, with four time slots available each day.
What to Expect at the Haunted Mansion
Falkirk Council promoted the event on Instagram, writing: "Do you dare stay up past your bedtime? Callendar House gets a whole lot spookier after dark." The post adds: "For the bravest among you, our Halloween Haunts midnight slots are waiting. Expect blood cuddling scares, eerie surroundings and plenty of things that go bump in the night. Gather your bravest friends, book a late night slot, and prepare to be haunted."
Visitors can interact with live actors, explore themed rooms and enjoy a drink at the bar during their slot. Dressing up is welcome but not required, and chilling surprises are promised around every corner.
Ticket Availability and Booking
Some time slots have already sold out. As of the latest update, the following slots remain available: Friday, October 30, 11pm to 12:30am; Saturday, October 31, 11pm to 12:30am; Sunday, November 1, 5:45pm to 7:15pm, 7:30pm to 9pm, and 9:15pm to 10:45pm.
Councillor Paul Garner, Depute Leader of Falkirk Council, said: "Last year’s Hallowe’en Haunt proved hugely popular, with visitors embracing the chance to experience Callendar House in a completely different way. This year’s event builds on that success, transforming one of Falkirk’s most historic buildings into an immersive Hallowe’en attraction, with live performances, spooky storytelling and plenty of surprises along the way."
How to Secure Tickets
Garner added: "It is another chance to see a very different side of this iconic landmark after dark. With some sessions already sold out, we would encourage anyone thinking about coming along to book soon while spaces remain."
