Members of the Pussycat Dolls were seen enjoying one of Manchester's newest restaurants on Thursday evening as they took a break from their major UK and European tour.
Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt have been performing together as part of the group's reunion tour, which celebrates hits including Don't Cha, Buttons and When I Grow Up. The European leg of the PCD Forever tour kicked off in Copenhagen last month and has since included stops in Munich, Paris, Prague, Amsterdam and Oslo. The trio has also performed in Birmingham and Nottingham in the UK, with a show in Leeds set for tonight (October 2).
Co-op Live show next week
Supported by rap icon Lil Kim, the Pussycat Dolls will perform at Manchester's Co-op Live on October 10, following shows in Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow and Newcastle. The shows were first teased in March when the venue was decked out with some of their most popular lyrics.
During a rare break between shows, the trio were pictured outside in Manchester as they headed to the Sister Moon restaurant, located on the top floor of the Treehouse Manchester hotel. The 14th floor spot is inspired by chef Sam Grainger's trips across Southeast Asia, including Thailand and Cambodia, with a BBQ-focused concept featuring dishes like grilled red prawns, Singapore chilli crab, massaman curry, and 80-day-aged beef ribeye with black garlic and pepper.
Celebrity launch party
The venue officially opened last month with a celeb-filled launch party also attended by Kelly Osbourne, who praised the hotel for feeling 'glamorous, sexy and a little bit naughty'.
Describing his vision for the restaurant, chef Sam explained: "It's Southeast Asian BBQ leaning on using locally sourced ingredients where we can but using Asian techniques and cooking. A lot of the food you eat over here, people don't make their own pastes as much, so we're making all the pastes in-house - it's very labour intensive. But it really unearths how this food should be cooked, and completely awakens something and how the ingredients work."
It's understood the Pussycat Dolls' visit to the restaurant is due to them being based in Manchester during the UK leg of their shows.
Band background
Outside of the band, Nicole is known for her solo career and for performing in the West End, whilst Kimberly appeared on Dancing on Ice in 2022. Ashley has also appeared on reality TV, having originally finished as a runner-up on the 2012 series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here. Earlier this year, she returned to the jungle for the spin-off series set in South Africa alongside the likes of Gemma Collins, Mo Farah and Adam Thomas.
Initially forming as a burlesque dance troupe, the Pussycat Dolls rose to worldwide acclaim when their debut single Don't Cha was a massive number one hit in 2005. To date, they have sold over 15 million albums and 40 million singles worldwide. Earlier this week, the girls were also pictured in Manchester as they left their five-star hotel.
