Amanda Holden's Husband's Cheeky Remark on Her Thong Dress at Fashion Awards
Amanda Holden's husband's cheeky thong dress remark

Television star Amanda Holden has shared the hilariously blunt reaction her husband had to her eye-catching outfit at this week's prestigious Fashion Awards. The 54-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge turned heads on the red carpet in a daring black satin gown featuring a bold thong-style cut-out at the back.

A Daring Gown and a Hilarious Husband

Attending the star-studded event at London's Royal Albert Hall on Monday, Amanda was accompanied by her 19-year-old model daughter, Lexi. The mother-daughter duo coordinated in elegant black gowns for the major fashion industry celebration. When asked in a video interview what her husband of 16 years, Chris Hughes, thought of the revealing ensemble, Amanda laughed and revealed his cheeky advice: "My husband said you need to shove that thing more up your a***."

She described the outfit, which certainly made a statement, as "naughty but nice and it's Christmas." The pair prepared for the evening in style, wearing matching white robes during a glamorous session with Revive Collagen at the luxurious Claridge's hotel.

Mother-Daughter Duo Steal the Spotlight

While Amanda captivated in her backless design, her daughter Lexi stunned in her own right. The young model wore a fitted off-the-shoulder satin dress complemented by a glamorous sheer beaded skirt. Lexi, who made her runway debut at London Fashion Week in September 2024, has frequently been described as her famous mother's "mini-me."

The teenager heaped praise on her mum, stating: "She’s always there to cheer me on and give advice but also lets me find my own path." She also confirmed that despite her burgeoning modelling career, her university studies remain a top priority. "I’m just starting out and I’m very focused on uni and doing a good job," Lexi told the Daily Mail last month.

A Night of Fashion and Celebration

The Fashion Awards, hosted this year by actor Colman Domingo, is considered one of the most significant nights in the global fashion calendar. Returning to its original venue, the Royal Albert Hall, the ceremony honours leading designers and influential figures from across the industry.

Amanda and Lexi enjoyed the evening from the Revive Collagen private box, where they posed for photos with a host of other celebrities. These included Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause, hairstylist Chris Appleton, singer Louise Redknapp, and former TOWIE star Samantha Faiers. The event, which began in 1989, has a storied history of hosting iconic figures from Princess Diana to fashion legends like Vivienne Westwood.
