Steven Spielberg reunited with Goldie Hawn at the London premiere of his new film, 'Disclosure Day', more than 50 years after they worked together on 'The Sugarland Express'. Hawn, 80, attended the event on Thursday to support her son, Wyatt Russell, who stars in the film.
Spielberg, 79, introduced Hawn to the audience, noting their long friendship since the 1974 crime drama, which was his first theatrical film. Hawn had won an Oscar for 'Cactus Flower' in 1969 before starring in the film.
Other stars at the premiere included Jeff Goldblum, Mark Rylance, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tye Sheridan, and JJ Abrams. 'Disclosure Day' follows a meteorologist (Emily Blunt) uncovering an alien conspiracy, marking Spielberg's latest foray into the alien genre.
At the premiere, Spielberg expressed optimism about the discovery of extraterrestrial life, telling the BBC: 'My view has become more realistic... I've become more optimistic that people are going to be able to discover things that we have not been allowed to discover.'
