Robson Green leads the cast of a brand new BBC detective drama, Northumbria Mysteries, which was filmed in the North East earlier this year. The show will start on Friday, October 23, airing every Friday afternoon from 2-2.45pm.
Filming locations
Robson and his fellow cast and crew were seen in various locations, largely in Northumberland, in the spring and summer. These included Alnwick, Morpeth, Seahouses, Rothbury – where Robson was spotted at pub The Turk's Head with ex Coronation Street star Chris Gascoyne (Peter Barlow) – and finally at The Red Lion at Earsdon, just outside Whitley Bay.

Northumbria Mysteries is a new crime drama. In the first episode, ex-con Joe is volunteering at a local priory, seeking forgiveness and attempting to start a new life, when the body of one of the monks is found hastily buried on the grounds. DI Rose O'Connell and her second-in-command DS Raj Singh, played by ex Ackley Bridge star Gurjeet Singh, are sent to investigate.
Episode count
There will be eight episodes in series one, with the first four episodes dropping simultaneously on BBC iPlayer.
