Tens of thousands of bikers took part in a 300-mile tribute ride on June 20, dubbed 'The Last Ride Home', in memory of the late Hairy Biker Dave Myers. The convoy, which included 46,000 riders in 2024 and 36,000 in 2025, set off at 8am from the Ace Cafe in London, a nod to the Hairy Bikers' first visit there in 2007.
Route and Stops
The procession travelled along the M40 and M6, making stops at Moto Services Knutsford and Moto Services Lancaster to collect more riders. Just after midday, thousands were seen on the M6 and M40. The ride concluded in Myers' hometown of Barrow-in-Furness, crossing the finish line at the Town Hall on Duke Street.
Charity and Impact
The event raised funds for NSPCC Childline and The National Institute for Cancer Research, with all proceeds split evenly. Organisers highlighted the community spirit, with one participant saying, 'It's incredible to see so many people come together to honour Dave and support these causes.'
