Amanda Holden has expressed her delight after being nominated for a BAFTA TV Award alongside her friend and co-star Alan Carr. The pair have been recognised in the Best Entertainment Performance category for their show Amanda & Alan's Spanish Job at the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards.
Following the nominees party, Holden took to Instagram to share photos of herself and Carr enjoying the event, captioning the post: "As you can see we’re still thrilled to be nominated!!" The series follows the duo as they renovate a rundown townhouse in Andalusia, Spain, and has since expanded to similar projects in Italy and Greece.
The 2026 BAFTA TV Awards will be hosted by comedian Greg Davies and take place on Sunday, May 10, at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall. The ceremony will be broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer. Davies said he is "thrilled" to host the event, describing it as an opportunity to "wave a flag for this beloved medium."
BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip praised the nominations, stating that 2025 has been an exceptional year for television, with 124 nominated programmes showcasing the strength and originality of British storytelling. She highlighted the number of first-time performance nominees as a sign of vibrant new talent shaping the industry's future.
