Traitors Star Meryl Williams Targets Celebs Go Dating Appearance

Meryl Williams, winner of the first series of BBC's The Traitors, has revealed she spent part of her prize money on cosmetic surgery to address her 'biggest insecurities'. The 28-year-old, who was born with a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, underwent a forehead reduction and breast augmentation.

Williams, who shared the £101,000 prize pot with fellow winners Aaron Evans and Hannah Byczkowski, said she wanted to 'finally feel comfortable and proportionate in my own body'. She told The Sun she is 'not a child and I want to feel sexy'.

The former call centre agent has previously spoken about being targeted by bullies. In one incident, she was forced to hide in a train toilet after four teens hurled insults at her, calling her a 'midget' and making references to dwarf throwing. She urged people to 'be nicer and kinder' to those who are different or have a disability.

Williams had a breast reduction as a teenager and corrective spinal surgery in 2011. She now hopes to appear on Celebs Go Dating, saying she wants to feel confident in her body and find love.
