Former TOWIE Star Jordan Wright Found Dead in Thailand

Devastating new details have emerged regarding the final hours of former The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Wright, whose body was discovered in Thailand. The 33-year-old reality television personality was found deceased in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach, with local police confirming the tragic news alongside the UK Foreign Office.

Discovery and Initial Findings

Jordan Wright's body was located by a Burmese worker on Saturday at approximately 12:30 PM local time. Authorities reported he was found face down in the canal wearing a grey shirt and black trousers, without any shoes. A keycard from the Coco Phuket Bangtao Hotel was discovered in his pocket, while his mobile phone was found on a nearby canal bank.

Police examination revealed no visible signs of physical assault or struggle on his body. The case has been transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital where an official autopsy will be conducted to determine the precise cause of death.

Hotel Investigation and CCTV Footage

Police Chief Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station provided additional context regarding Wright's final movements. Hotel records indicated the British national had checked in alone and was scheduled to check out on March 13th, but staff reported he never completed the checkout process.

"A search of the room revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities," stated Chuthong. "CCTV footage showed that he appeared restless and was moving back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area. His movements eventually led to the location where his body was later discovered."

Authorities believe Wright may have been deceased for approximately two days before his discovery. The CCTV footage has been secured as part of the ongoing investigation and cannot be released publicly at this stage.

Background and Recent Activity

Jordan Wright, who was dismissed from the ITV reality programme in 2019, had relocated to Thailand several months prior to his death. He had expressed optimism about his new beginning, telling social media followers he was seeking a "fresh start" in the popular destination.

Just one week before his death, Wright posted a photograph of himself in an infinity pool overlooking the ocean with the caption: "I'm home. FT The best bath I've ever taken." This optimistic message contrasted sharply with the tragic outcome that followed.

Official Statements and Investigation Status

A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office confirmed: "We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities."

Police Lieutenant Colonel Suthirak Chuthong emphasized the investigation remains active while awaiting autopsy results. "The case remains under investigation while we wait for the official autopsy results," he stated. "We cannot confirm the exact cause of death until the autopsy results are released. If relatives or friends have concerns about the cause of death, they can contact the police station."

Tributes from Friends and Colleagues

Following news of his passing, tributes poured in from fellow television personalities and friends. Former TOWIE co-star Chloe Brockett shared: "Rest in peace Jordan," accompanied by a heart symbol. Chloe Crowhurst added: "Rest in peace Jord," while influencer Scarlett Ellis wrote: "Such a lovely person gone far too soon. Rest peacefully Jordan."

The entertainment community continues to mourn the loss of the 33-year-old star as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding his untimely death in Thailand.
