Jordan Wright's body was located by a Burmese worker on Saturday at approximately 12:30 PM local time. Authorities reported he was found face down in the canal wearing a grey shirt and black trousers, without any shoes. A keycard from the Coco Phuket Bangtao Hotel was discovered in his pocket, while his mobile phone was found on a nearby canal bank.
Police examination revealed no visible signs of physical assault or struggle on his body. The case has been transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital where an official autopsy will be conducted to determine the precise cause of death.

Police Chief Sutthirak Chuthong of Choeng Thale district station provided additional context regarding Wright's final movements. Hotel records indicated the British national had checked in alone and was scheduled to check out on March 13th, but staff reported he never completed the checkout process.
"A search of the room revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities," stated Chuthong. "CCTV footage showed that he appeared restless and was moving back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area. His movements eventually led to the location where his body was later discovered."
Authorities believe Wright may have been deceased for approximately two days before his discovery. The CCTV footage has been secured as part of the ongoing investigation and cannot be released publicly at this stage.
